It’s hard to believe that six years ago, Ground Zero Gaming was a little CS:GO tournament organiser in Perth.

Today, we’re one of the strongest Australian esports organisations, and an experienced gaming experiential and marketing agency.

The Ground Zero Gaming story.

  • Born in a suburban Perth home in 2017, Ground Zero Gaming was dreamed up by a few gamers who met playing CS:GO. Frustrated with the lack of support for a local competitive scene, they created their own.

A few months later, Ground Zero was catapulted into the spotlight and onto the national stage when we secured the Perth franchise of the Gfinity Australian league.

Through Gfinity, we built a strong reputation in the Australian professional esports industry, competing in CS:GO, Rocket League, and Streetfighter.

Over the years that followed, we have gone from strength to strength, to become one of the longest standing Australian professional esports organisations.

During this time we’ve represented Australia on the international stage in Rocket League, CS:GO, and League of Legends, including playing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

Our current professional esport rosters include League of Legends (LCO), Rocket League, and Pokémon Unite.

  • In 2019, we partnered with Forrest Chase, Perth city’s premium outdoor shopping precinct, to activate a community gaming event as part of the Forrest LIVE festival. Collaborating with Vodafone, JB Hi-fi and Ice Break, we built a bespoke gaming hub, where children, teenagers, and adults alike could enjoy some friendly games of Rocket League.

From here, our gaming experiential platform was developed. We’ve worked with shopping centres, educational institutions, corporates, and the State Government of Western Australia to deliver interactive and engaging gaming activations to the community.

Meet the dream team.
