Ground Zero Gaming first showed up on the Oceanic Rocket League scene after being announced as one of the organizations participating in the inaugural season of the Australian Gfinity Elite Series, however instead of acquiring a brand new roster, the organization would sign the Legacy Esportsroster, at the time comprised of cyrix, Siki, and Delusion, on a eight week long loan for the event. There the loaned team would finish 2nd in League Play suffering only a single series defeat, but would lose in the semifinals of the playoffs against ORDER.
Now this roster acquisition marks the first fully fledged roster of the Ground Zero Gaming organization within Rocket League. The team previously known as Downloadable Content was formed just before the Throwdown Season 6 began, with veterans CJM and Walcott joining forces with newcomer Lim. This new team would go on to qualify for League Play during the Group Stage Qualifier with a 6-1 record, putting them ahead of favorites Tainted Minds for the first place position in Group A. With a strong initial showing, this new squad looks to be one of the favorites for the Throwdown and Gfinity events, and seems to be a great pickup for the organization.
